60 years of the Vallhonrat Museum Foundation
The Mestre Martí Tauler Municipal Library wanted to join in the commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the Vallhonrat Museum Foundation by dedicating the 28th Book Points Contest, aimed at children and young people aged 5 to 16. The works may be presented from April 4 to May 21, 2022 at the facility located on Aribau street.
The Book Points Contest is divided into four categories depending on the age of the participants: from 5 to 7 years old (category A), from 8 to 9 years old (category B), from 10 to 13 years old (category C) and from 14 to 16 years old (category D).
The awards ceremony will take place on June 14, 2022 at the Mestre Martí Tauler Municipal Library.
The bookmarks will have to be inspired by the heritage and natural elements that can be found outside the Vallhonrat Ethnographic Museum: a garden with a water tower, a laundry room, typical Mediterranean fruit trees, some arches, fish and the house-museum.
On the occasion of the celebration of the International Day of the elderly October 1, 2021
With the aim of being able to contribute to raising awareness of this event and with the intention of promoting appropriate activities to defend and respect the dignity and wisdom of the grandparents and grandmothers of our city, the Vallhonrat Museum Foundation has taken the initiative to bring the residences closer to the museum offering a virtual visit so that they know the history and enjoy the objects, pieces and curiosities that are in each of the rooms. Once the video is finished, they will be able to paint cards in order to reinforce fine motor skills and communication skills. This initiative can be repeated throughout the year.
The residences and houses are the following: El Cielo, Primero de Mayo, Amanecer, Conchita Valls, the Avets and the Casal de la gente mayor (in front of the Maristas school of Rubí).
