To commemorate International Museum Day, celebrated on May 18, 2025, on Saturday, May 17, at 11:00 a.m., the Vallhonrat Museum will offer a guided tour of our past, exploring the different rooms that make up the museum. After the tour, the Rubí Pole Dance School will offer a demonstration with several members of the school, where we will enjoy a magnificent sport that combines aerobic exercises with dance moves. This is a free family activity.
As usual, on Earth Day, there will be a guided tour related to the earth, where we will see a water tower, a wash house, farm tools, a winery, a lemon tree, an orange tree, and more. The tour will run from 11:00 a.m. to 11:40 a.m. Then, from 11:40 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., children and adults from the Nuria Garriga Music School will perform a modern choir group with a solo singer accompanied by keyboard, drums, bass, and guitars. The modern choir is composed of 8 or 10 people, and including instrumentalists, the maximum number will be 15 or 20. This is a free family activity.
For the second consecutive year in 2025, the Vallhonrat Museum will participate in the Full Color / Color Week route, part of International Color Day, which is celebrated on March 21st and organized annually by the Rubí City Council. This mural is displayed at the museum's entrance in Plaza Montserrat Roig, s/n. The tour will take you to different representative spaces in Rubí, where you will discover graffiti, murals, artists, and topics of interest related to urban art. The program will be full of artistic and participatory activities inspired by the city's colors.
On Saturday, March 8, 2025, Women's Day is commemorated, the struggle of women for their participation in society and their full development as people and on an equal footing with men. Among other things, it demands better working and living conditions and in favor of peace. The museum collaborates by making a guided tour related to the tasks and utensils that women basically used when working in the fields and in the houses. Throughout the visit we will be accompanied by a character who will not go unnoticed. From 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. the visit will take place and then from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. the craft will be made. It is a pin for the refrigerator and there will be two models to choose from, both related to women. Free family activity. Entrance: Plaza Montserrat Roig, s/n Rubí.
On Wednesday, February 26, 2025, we'll be waiting for you in the Young Readers' Room at the Mestre Martí Tauler Library in Rubí at 6:00 p.m. for the storytelling session La Bóta Tona, the third story in the Historias del Museo Vallhonrat collection, led by Laura Rueda, where we'll learn a little about the roots of our town. The session will end with grape stomping and a fun dance, just like the peasants did. It's a free family activity.
